Our founder, Emily, has had her Churchill Report on disabled people’s wellbeing officially published. This is a huge moment of pride, not just for Emily, but for all of us at Mana.

The Churchill Report is an in-depth exploration of the challenges, opportunities and systemic changes needed to support the wellbeing of disabled people. Emily’s work highlights actionable insights and innovative strategies to create a more inclusive society where everyone can thrive.
Rooted in empathy, lived experience and rigorous research, the report emphasises the importance of:
Accessible healthcare that considers the unique needs of disabled individuals.
Inclusive wellbeing support tailored to address the diverse experiences of disability.
Community empowerment to foster a sense of belonging and shared strength.
Policy change to dismantle barriers and champion equity in all areas of life.
Emily’s journey
Emily’s passion for inclusive wellbeing stems from her own experiences and her commitment to uplifting others. Her dedication to this cause has driven her to challenge norms, engage with policymakers and collaborate with disabled communities to ensure their voices are heard.
Disabled people often face significant disparities in access to wellbeing resources, mental health support and opportunities for personal growth. Emily’s report sheds light on these issues while offering practical solutions to address them.
At Mana, we believe that true inclusion means listening, learning, and taking action. This report is a step toward building a world where everyone’s wellbeing is prioritised.
What’s next?
The publication of the Churchill Report is just the beginning. We plan to continue the conversation by integrating the findings into our work going forward with workshops and webinars sharing insights from the report, engaging with disabled people and allies to amplify findings and use the key principles from the report in our work.
